Jalen Hood-Schifino Battling Illness, Doubtful to Play Friday
Indiana Guard Dealing with Non-COVID Illness
Hoosiers May Be Without Starting Guard for Season Opener
Indiana guard Jalen Hood-Schifino is doubtful to play in the Hoosiers' season opener on Friday due to an illness, the school announced on Wednesday.
The illness is non-COVID related, and Hood-Schifino is considered day-to-day.
The 6-foot-6 guard started all 34 games for Indiana last season, averaging 11.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game.
If Hood-Schifino is unable to play on Friday, Indiana will likely start Trey Galloway or Tamar Bates in his place.
Galloway started 16 games for the Hoosiers last season, while Bates started 13.
Indiana opens the season on Friday at home against Morehead State.
