Vehicle leaked oil on the track, causing a traffic jam of about 10 km

A truck carrying scrap metal overturned and partially blocked Rodovia Raposo Tavares (SP-270), in Ibirarema, in the afternoon of this Saturday (25), according to information from the Military Police to the Folha Regional. The vehicle leaked oil on the track, causing a traffic jam of about 10 km.

The accident occurred around 2 pm, in the direction of Assis, near km 335. Part of the load was spilled on the track. The driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital in the region.

Teams from the Military Police, Highway Police and CCR ViaOeste, concessionaire responsible for managing the highway, were at the scene. According to the concessionaire, the truck overturned after swerving to avoid a car that had lost control moments before.

As of 6 pm, the right lane of the carriageway was partially blocked, causing a traffic jam of about 5 km in the direction of Assis and 10 km in the direction of Bauru. The concessionaire recommended that motorists avoid the stretch and seek alternative routes.
