Bucks Fall to Bulls Despite 30-Point Performance from Antetokounmpo
Antetokounmpo's Triple-Double Not Enough to Overcome Bulls' Balanced Attack
The Milwaukee Bucks fell to the Chicago Bulls 133-122 on Wednesday night at the United Center, despite a 30-point triple-double from Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Bulls Build Early Lead
The Bulls started the game strong, building a 10-point lead in the first quarter. The Bucks were able to cut the deficit to four points by the end of the quarter, but the Bulls extended their lead to 12 points by halftime.
Antetokounmpo led the Bucks with 10 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists in the first half, but the Bulls' balanced attack was too much for the Bucks to handle. Zach LaVine led the Bulls with 20 points in the first half, and DeMar DeRozan added 19 points.
Bucks Rally in the Third Quarter
The Bucks came out strong in the third quarter, outscoring the Bulls 35-23 to cut the deficit to two points. Antetokounmpo continued to lead the Bucks, scoring 10 points in the quarter, and Khris Middleton added 11 points.
The Bulls were able to regain their 12-point lead by the end of the third quarter, but the Bucks were within striking distance heading into the fourth quarter.
Bulls Hold On in the Fourth Quarter
The fourth quarter was a back-and-forth affair, with neither team able to gain a significant advantage. The Bucks were able to cut the deficit to four points with less than two minutes remaining, but the Bulls were able to hit their free throws down the stretch to secure the win.
Antetokounmpo finished the game with 30 points, 21 rebounds, and 10 assists, but the Bulls had five players score in double figures, led by LaVine's 30 points.
Bulls Move to 4-2, Bucks Fall to 3-3
The win improves the Bulls' record to 4-2 on the season, while the Bucks fall to 3-3. The Bulls will host the New York Knicks on Friday night, while the Bucks will travel to face the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday night.
