The New York Knicks defeated the Indiana Pacers 121-109 in an Eastern Conference matchup at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday, February 1, 2023. The Knicks, led by All-Star forward Julius Randle, snapped the Pacers’ 13-game winning streak, the second-longest in the NBA this season.
Randle finished with 30 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists, while Jalen Brunson added 25 points and 8 assists for the Knicks. RJ Barrett also chipped in with 20 points.
The Knicks took control of the game in the second quarter, outscoring the Pacers 35-23. They led by as many as 23 points in the third quarter before the Pacers rallied to cut the deficit to 9 points early in the fourth quarter.
However, the Knicks held on for the win, making their free throws down the stretch. They improved to 10-2 in their last 12 games and are now 30-26 on the season.
The Pacers were led by Buddy Hield, who scored 28 points. Myles Turner added 21 points and 13 rebounds, while Tyrese Haliburton had 17 points and 7 assists before leaving the game in the third quarter with a knee injury.
The Pacers are now 34-25 on the season and their 13-game winning streak came to an end. They will be hoping that Haliburton’s injury is not serious, as he is one of their key players.
