Duisburg on point in Cologne - Gladbach wins against Union

In the third division match between Viktoria Köln and MSV Duisburg, both teams shared the points on Saturday evening. After the hosts took the lead through Simon Stehle (30th), Marvin Ajani (62nd) scored the equalizer for the zebras. With this result, Duisburg is now in eighth place in the table with 36 points, while Köln is in 12th place with 29 points.

Gladbach beats Union Berlin 3-1

Borussia Mönchengladbach also celebrated a home win in the Bundesliga on Saturday evening, beating 1. FC Union Berlin 3-1. After a goalless first half, the foals took the lead through Lars Stindl (52nd). Sheraldo Becker (69th) equalized for Union, but Florian Neuhaus (73rd) and Marcus Thuram (84th) made it clear for Gladbach. The victory means Gladbach is now up to eighth in the table with 31 points, while Union remains in seventh place with 33 points.

Both teams on par in the first half

In the match between Viktoria Köln and MSV Duisburg, both teams started cautiously and didn't take any major risks at first. Gladbach dominates the second half

In the Bundesliga match between Borussia Mönchengladbach and 1. FC Union Berlin, the foals were clearly the better team, especially in the second half. Gladbach had more possession, more chances and more shots on goal than Union. The guests from Berlin only became dangerous on the counterattack.

Stindl, Neuhaus, Thuram secure Gladbach's victory

Union equalized through Sheraldo Becker (69th), but Gladbach struck back just four minutes later. Florian Neuhaus (73rd) scored the 2-1 with a low shot from the edge of the box. Marcus Thuram (84th) made it clear with his goal to make it 3-1.
