The Pelicans, meanwhile, will be without Zion Williamson (right hamstring strain), E.J. Liddell (right knee ACL injury), and Kira Lewis Jr. (right ACL injury).
The Lakers are 1-2 without James this season, while the Pelicans are 2-1 without Williamson.
The game is scheduled to tip off at 7:30 p.m. ET at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans.
