FCN against Jahn Regensburg: Klose warns - 'a dangerous opponent'
FCN coach Michael Köllner warns his team ahead of the home game against Jahn Regensburg on Sunday (1.30 p.m.).
"Jahn Regensburg is not to be taken lightly," said the 53-year-old on Friday. "They are a very unpleasant opponent, especially away from home."
In the past five away games, Regensburg has won three times, drawn once and lost once. Only Fürth (four wins) and Darmstadt 98 (three wins) have won more away games this season.
Klose demands full concentration from his team: "We have to be fully on the ball from the start and not let them get into their game." The Jahn is a very physical team that relies on long balls and set pieces.
"We have to be prepared for that and not let ourselves be provoked," said Klose. "We have to play our game and not let them dictate the pace."
The Jahn is not to be underestimated
Regensburg is currently 13th in the table, but has only one point less than 10th-placed Nuremberg. Especially in the last few weeks, the Jahn has shown good performances and has won three of the last five games.
Nuremberg, on the other hand, has lost the last two games and is under pressure. "We have to win again," said Klose. "But we know that it will be difficult against Regensburg."
Klose expects a close game
The coach expects a close game on Sunday. "Both teams are very close together in the table and both teams need the points," said Klose. "It will be a fight for every metre."
Nuremberg will have to do without the suspended Enrico Valentini and the injured Mats Möller Daehli. Otherwise, Klose has all players on board.
