Espelkamp: One seriously injured in accident on Bruchweg!

Fire brigade and rescue service had to free the person trapped

Espelkamp (mt/hy). The driver of a car was seriously injured in an accident on Bruchweg in Espelkamp on Saturday morning around 10:30 a.m. For this reason, the Bruchweg had to be completely closed in the direction of Lübbecke for the period of the rescue work.

According to initial findings, the driver got into his car on Bruchweg in the direction of Lübbecke and wanted to turn left. The oncoming car did not give way to the turning car. Subsequently, there was a collision at the intersection Bruchweg / Breslauer Straße.

The driver of the turning car was trapped in his car and had to be rescued by the fire brigade. The seriously injured person was then taken to a hospital by ambulance.

According to the police, the driver of the oncoming car, who is said to have been responsible for the accident, was initially unable to be found. The police are now looking for witnesses who can provide information about the hit-and-run driver.
