Erfurt: Accident leaves several injured

At least five people have been injured in a serious accident in Erfurt on Friday morning.

The accident, involving two cars and a truck, occurred on the A4 motorway near the Erfurt-Ost junction at around 7.30am.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation, but police believe that one of the cars may have been driving too fast in the wet conditions.

The injured were taken to hospital, where they are being treated for their injuries. The extent of their injuries is not yet known.

The A4 motorway was closed in both directions for several hours while emergency services dealt with the accident. It has now reopened, but there are still some delays in the area.
