The Federal Office for Consumer Protection and Food Safety (BVL) has issued a recall for the " Fruchtgummi Bärchen " gummy bears from the brand Trolli. The affected product is sold in 200g bags.

The reason for the recall is the detection of the poisonous fly agaric poison muscimol in the product. Muscimol is a psychoactive substance that can damage the nervous system. Symptoms of muscimol poisoning include nausea, vomiting, sweating, hallucinations, and circulatory problems.

According to the information available so far, the affected gummy bears were manufactured in Poland and delivered to Germany. The BVL strongly advises against consuming the product and recommends that it be disposed of in household waste.
