Accident in Karlsruhe: One person dead, several injured

A serious accident occurred on Wednesday evening in Karlsruhe, Germany. According to the police, one person was killed and several were injured.

The accident happened around 7:30 p.m. on the B10 federal highway near the intersection with the A5 motorway. For reasons that are still being investigated, two cars collided head-on. The impact was so violent that one of the cars was completely destroyed.

The fire brigade, rescue service and police were on the scene with a large contingent. The injured were taken to nearby hospitals. The road was closed for several hours for cleanup and investigation work.

The police are asking witnesses to the accident to contact them. The cause of the accident is still unclear and is being investigated.
