1. FC Lokomotive Leipzig wins against Hertha Zehlendorf and remains the Regionalliga leader

1. FC Lokomotive Leipzig was able to successfully defend its lead in the Regionalliga Nordost on Saturday.

The Leipzig team won 3-1 (2-0) against Hertha Zehlendorf in front of 4,098 spectators at the Bruno-Plache-Stadion and thus remains at the top of the table with 22 points after nine games.

David Urban gave Lokomotive the lead in the 17th minute, and Benny Boateng increased the lead in the 37th minute.

After the break, Lokomotive took their foot off the gas and allowed Hertha Zehlendorf to come back into the game. In the 71st minute, Antonio Jonjic scored the 1-2, but just three minutes later, Tim Wiedermann scored the final 3-1 for Lokomotive.

Lok Leipzig was able to build on its strong performance in the first half.

The Leipzig team started the game with a lot of pressure and was able to create some good chances.

In the 17th minute, David Urban was able to take advantage of a mistake in the Zehlendorf defense and score the 1-0.

Lok continued to play aggressively and was able to increase the lead to 2-0 in the 37th minute through Benny Boateng.

After the break, Lokomotive Leipzig took their foot off the gas and allowed Hertha Zehlendorf to come back into the game.

In the 71st minute, Antonio Jonjic scored the 1-2, but just three minutes later, Tim Wiedermann scored the final 3-1 for Lokomotive.

Overall, it was a deserved win for Lokomotive Leipzig. The team was able to build on its strong performance in the first half and ultimately secure the three points.

Hertha Zehlendorf, on the other hand, will have to improve their performance if they want to stay in the league.

The match was played in front of 4,098 spectators at the Bruno-Plache-Stadion.

The attendance was slightly lower than in the previous home game against Chemie Leipzig (4,531 spectators).

Nevertheless, the atmosphere in the stadium was very good and the fans celebrated their team's victory enthusiastically.

Lokomotive Leipzig will now travel to Chemnitz on Saturday, September 10th.

There they will meet FC Viktoria 1899, who are currently fifth in the table.

Hertha Zehlendorf will also play away on Saturday, September 10th.

They will travel to Greifswald to play against Greifswalder FC.

Greifswald is currently eleventh in the table.
